• 0-1 years of experience in data engineering.

Skills Requirements for This Job Description:

• Experience with Spark, Data Warehouses, Orchestration tools or Cloud is a big bonus
• Basic knowledge of Python, SQL and Data Structures.
• Interest to learn and work in Data Engineering (very important!)
• Bonus points if you are good with competitive programming.
• Communication: You like discussing a plan upfront, welcome collaboration, and are an excellent verbal and written communicator

Role and Responsibilities Of This Job:

• Build highly scalable and performant data pipelines and systems.
• Assist in the testing, maintenance and improvement of our data infrastructure and systems.
• Collaborate with senior data engineers and data architects on a variety of data tasks and beyond.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality and performance.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in data engineering technologies.
• Abide by the roles & responsibilities, and guidelines of  Velotio information security policies and procedures.
• Ensure information security trainings are completed on time without fail.
• Report any information security incidents to the IT team as detailed in the Velotio information security policies and procedures.
