About IIT Hyderabad
Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad (abbreviated IIT Hyderabad or IITH) is a public technical research university located in Sangareddy district in the Indian state of Telangana. As with all Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), IIT Hyderabad is an Institute of National Importance. IITH was founded in 2008.
Eligibility
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics and Computing, or ECE (or any related discipline) with at least 60% marks is required.
- Fluency in English writing and technical communication.
- Earlier industry/project experience (at least 1 year) in applied machine learning
- Knowledge of programming in Python
Desired Skill Sets
- Knowledge of programming in PyTorch/Tensorflow/Scikitlearn
- Knowledge of working with open-source frameworks
- Candidates with prior experience translating ML code to deployment/production will be given preference.
- Candidates with experience in handling IoT data/sensor data/camera data will be given preference.
Other Skill Sets
- Data storage and access management
- Server management
- Data security and privacy, following up with govt institutes for data acquisition.
- Preliminary data analysis (incompleteness, duplication, outliers, noise, SNR, data visualization etc)
- Database management and some data standardization (normalization, compatibility etc)
Tenure
This is a contract position for a duration of 6 months, and is extensible based on performance (and fund availability). The position can be converted to MTech/PhD subject to the requirements of the department, and the candidate’s performance.
Selection Process
- Candidates will be shortlisted based on the eligibility criteria, academic record and
relevant experience. - Only shortlisted candidates will be intimated through email for the online interview by the selection committee. Merely meeting the criteria may not guarantee a call for an interview.

extended date will be given if no suitable candidate is found.
Salary
Rs. 60000 – Rs 90000 per month
General Terms and Conditions
The candidate is required to produce all certificates/testimonials in original on request (degree/diploma certificates, mark sheet, experience certificates, proof of age for verification), along with passport-size colour photographs and self-attested photocopies of all documents for verification and records of IIT Hyderabad.
